prevent textbox from scrolling screen

Hi,

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to prevent a new textbox from scrolling the screen to the right when I type in it? I would prefer it instead continue the text on the next line in the textbox. Otherwise, I have to keep resizing the textboxes to make them smaller, and that's a pain during lecture when I'm trying to take notes.

Thanks.

    Oops, I misunderstood. Sorry.

    You could try this.

Just type a letter, then drag the right-border of note container to the spot that you want OneNote to move to the next line.

It still takes 2 or 3 seconds of your time, though.

That trick works for this too:

    Thanks.

    Hi,

Yes, it occurs after I have printed my PDF lecture slides into the page, usually in the format of 2x3 slides per page. Even if I zoom out the screen enough so that the left and right borders of the printed page of lecture slides are visible (so that both the left and right slide on the page are both seen), it still scrolls the screen over to the right when I am typing in a text box underneath the right slide. Very frustrating when trying to keep up with a lecture.

There is a horizontal scroll bar that appears when I zoom in or out, but it then disappears. But as I said, even if I zoom out the page enough so that both L and R borders of the printed page of lecture slides are visible, it still scrolls the textbox. Only if I zoom out so much that there is a large white gap to the right of the printed page does it stop scrolling the textboxes, but then it's zoomed out too much to be practical for use b/c I can't see the details on the slides well.

Any idea how to stop this from happening?

    Thanks.

I assume that, when this issue appears, you are using a page which already have something on it.

Before you click the page and start writing, do you see the horizontal scroll-bar at the bottom ?

    Thanks.

I am not aware of a setting that can limit it.

Unfortunately i could not find any relevant information here.

My one automatically stops goes to the next line if i keep typing.

So you're saying although you cannot find the setting, you've managed to somehow cause your new text boxes to not scroll the screen to the right when typing?
