Hello,

I have an Auto Run Excel file open every morning by Task Scheduler that calls up several Excel files to open and refresh data.

I need to open in edit and modify the Auto Run Excel file, how do I open in Edit mode, so it doesn't auto run? Thanks

    Hans,

I did tried the Run option, and it's still run my macro.

I don't know what else to do. Is there a way to turn off add-ins so it doesn't load? Thanks

    Try this:

    Quit Excel.

    Click Start > Run...

Type the following, then press Enter or click OK:

    "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11\Excel.exe" /Automation

This starts Excel without loading add-ins.

    Hi,

I did tried the SHIFT key, but it popped up this message.

Cannot open Microsoft Office Excel Add-In for editing. Please edit the source document instead.

If I hit the Ok button, it will just run my macro.

    Is there problem with add-in?

Hold down the Shift key while opening the workbook, and release it when the workbook has fully opened.
