In Windows XP, in MS Word, the cursor is at the very top of the page when it opens. It does not show the 1" margin at the top of the page, it's llike at the edege of the page. What should I do to correct the problem?

You have decided not to disclose the version of Office that you are using but for 2007/2010 you would enter Word Options (Office button►Word options for 2007, File►Options for 2010) and choose Display from the list down the left-hand side. Put a checkmark beside Showwhitespace between pages in Print Layout view and click OK in the lower right to accept the changes.

A trip to the Options dialog is really overkill. Just double-clicking between pages accomplishes the same thing.
