auto fill default without formatting

Question

is there any way to have auto fill default to "without formatting" ?

I use the f4 key to autofill down the columns quickly.  selecting this option for each auto fill is more tedious than reformatting the whole document.

if not,  i would like to suggest this as an option.

You may have to do it manually select the options by holding the Ctrl key and selecting the available Auto fill options after performing Auto Fill.

I would second this request.

The increasing amount of assumptions about what I want to do in Excel is forcing me out. It simply does not behave how I would expect it to behave and keeps trying to second guess what I want to do.

I say fill the contents I want it to mean that and only that.

Excel should have an option to turn features like this off. It forces power users to unlearn techniques they are comfortable with and used to that work for them.

You have never responded about the request for taking this into account for new updates from the first entry. It was one of the two things asked in a short request.
