I accidentally deleted MS-Edge profile on Windows 10 so I lost all favorites including on favorites bar. Is there a way to recover them? Thanks.

Was is a local account or connected account? (e.g. Microsoft Account profile).

Hi @Ian3 , Which files did you delete? Can you find the boomark file in this path: "C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge\User Data\Default", does it have any content?

Similar problem here. I came into work today, and there are two profiles on my edge browser. They are named "profile1" and "profile2". First time i've seen "profiles" in a browser. So I picked "profile2" to delete, thinking that it's prolly the newer one (amiright?). I picked the wrong one, and all the favorites are gone. :(

Yes, try to find the bookmarks/favourites folder at this location:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge\User Data\Default
If not, then try to login using your hotmail/outlook account into the browser & sync. If the browser was in sync earlier then you should get 'em back.
For future, Export the bookmarks file in a safe place in case you have large number of bookmarks/reading lists saved.

In my case the profile seems to be missing and the bookmark file isn't there. Why doesn't this go to the recycle bin and have a recover option? Edge is a POS. I can't have my profile sync. There must be some place this file can be restored from.
