Original Title: MAC Mountain Lion Issue

I just downloaded the Mountain Lion operating system to my desktop MAC. I attempted to download a WORD document .docx onto my computer and received the following error message: /Users/jslucove/Downloads could not be saved, because an unknown error occurred. Try Saving to a different location. How can I fix this?

Thanks

Myself and my colleague have both been having this same problem for quite some time now, but it isn't when we try to download, It is when we are working in Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac. I can work for days on a document without incident and then all of a sudden, when I try to save, I get that error message. I am also working with Mountain Lion. Any suggestions?

    Hey Jeffrey,

What application are you using to download this file? Assuming you're using a browser, try using another application to download the file.

It sounds like this error is being generated before you even reach the point of opening the file with Word. That being the case, there's not much we can do to help from the Office end. You might consider zipping the file and trying the download again.

    Hope this helps!
