Identifier under cursor is not recognized error

Hi!

I had this existing code which was working before.  It uses "Control".  I tried for its definition, it gave me a "identifier cursor is not recognized".

Dim chkNew As Control ' CheckBox

Any idea why this error is coming up?

    There should be a CLASS module which defines CONTROL...

    Did you copy the code from one workbook to another? Was it working in the same workbook?
