vba error when opening XML files

As of Monday 02/25/13 I began getting error messages when trying to open XML files.  I think it may be related to office 365 as there have been times when it needed to quit unexpectedly and there was an update to office 2011 on 02/24/2013.  I was opening the files successfully the day before the update. Not sure what type of update it was.

error message:

Repair Result to filename.xmlErrors were detected in file 'Macintosh HD:Users:joelabore:filename.xlsm'

Removed Part: /xl/vbaProject.bin part. (Visual Basic for Applications (VBA))

Any help would be appreciated.

Joe.

I have version 14.3.1 (130117).  I checked the folders and the last update was on February 24th, the day before this happened.  The issue is only related to opening files with visual basic embedded.  Regular excel files are not affected.

The updates to office was released on 11th of this month which was 14.3.1

Check what is the version of Excel 2011

Is  it happening to just a particular excel document or its with all the documents. Are you able to open excel application normally.

You may also follow the steps in the link and check if it resolves the issue.
