table column text flow

I have a two-column table that runs over five pages. In each cell is a word, sometimes a few words, in alphabetical order, and I'd like them to flow newspaper-style from the left column of each page up to the right column, then on to the next page. As it is, the flow is down the left column through page 5, then back up to the top of the right column on page 1. I don't know how change it to have it flow as I'd like (is it possible?). Or maybe I should ditch the table and use two columns per page - but can I convert the table to two-column text without having to re-enter all the text manually? Thanks ...

To get newspaper style text flow, you'd need to make use of newspaper style columns (Format | Columns). I'm afraid you can't "convert" a table to newspaper columns...
