Googling for this error message may be helpful. It is suggested that the DLL registration must be run from "an elevated command prompt," that is, you have to use Run as Administrator. See, for example:

    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/5413585/windows-7-unable-to-register-dll-error-code0x80004005

http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/jscript/thread/b7d1a35f-3759-4217-91ba-e4416ac19d78/ (a lot of posts to plow through, but you may be able to extract some useful stuff)

    http://www.mydigitallife.info/the-call-to-dllregisterserver-failed-with-error-code-0x80004005-on-windows-vista/

The bottom line, however, is that this is not a Word issue but a Windows issue, so I am going to move this thread to the Windows forum, where you will get help from more knowledgeable users. (I now see that this was moved from Windows, but that is where it belongs.)

    Hi Jack,

As per the issue description you are unable to install the add-in for Word.

I would like to ask few questions on the issue:

    1. What is the operating system installed on the computer?
    2. From which web-site are you trying to download this add-in?

Download the set-up file save it on the system, right click on the set-up file and click on Run as administrator and check if it helps.

The add-in seems to be non-Microsoft add-in. If you are trying to download it from a Microsoft site then provide us the link. If you are trying to download a non-Microsoft add-in then you may also contact the appropriate technical support for further help on this issue.

I hope the above suggestion helps. If you need further assistance reply with more information and we will be glad to assist you.

    Thank you.
