Powerpoint animations preview

Question

Hello everyone, I am used to work on Powerpoint for Windows and have recently started using the Mac version. I need some help on how to turn off the feature that automatically plays a preview of the animation when I create it... it makes it very slow to wait for the newly added animation to finish whenever I add a new animation to a slide. I want to be able to create several animations and play them only when I complete the animations sequence for the slide, i.e. I want to test the animations manually when I want to do it but powerpoint keeps playing the preview for each and every animation I add to the slide. I don't believe there's currently a way to to disable the automatic animation preview in Office for Mac 2011. Almost 2 years later and still no way to do this on MAC??

I hope I'm missing the solution to turning off automatic previews on a mac, because if I'm not.. Windows programmers are morons... Which is why i'm on mac to began with. Cant wait for the rest of the world to catch up so i can say goodbye forever to Microsoft.
