insert comments in pivot table

Dear experts,

I have a pivot table with lots of data summarized. The data is shown per product but also has the possibility to drill down by customer who is buying the said product.

I would like to give people the possibility of putting comments in a column next to the pivot table by product (and customer if needed) in a way that even if the pivot table is changed (say, they collapse the customer to have more visibility on products) the comment stays linked to the pivot table field - which is not the case today....

Is there a possibility to do so?

Thanks!

Kind regards

Valeria

Hi, you cannot do it directly in the pivot table, you might have a column added for coments in the pivot source database and then include that column as part of the pivot

OK thanks, I was hoping there could be something I was unaware of to do this, as it's impossible to add comments directly on the dataset - I only need data by product and customer and the dataset is by order number (thousands of rows). Thanks anyway, Kind regards Valeria
