Sadly there's no way to kill the soft edge.

In Ppt 2007 when I used the Wheel animation, there was no gradient, the image would disappear with a sharp edge. I created a timer from this using a round shape and Wheel as Exit animation.
Now I am creating a new presentation and I am using PPT 2010 for this. When I apply the Wheel animation there is a gradient effect. My circle first becomes gradient, and then is wheeled out. It is not that usefull as a timer, the time remaining is not that clear from just looking at the image. (does it include the gradient part, or not).
Is there any way to get this gradient slice out of the animation?
