MSKLC (Keyboard Layout Creator) cannot export custom Japanese keyboard layouts

Hello,

I have created a custom Japanese keyboard layout using MSKLC that supports symbols and characters common in other languages. But attempting to export my custom layout results in error messages like:

Warning 1009 (...\tmpjpn1337.txt, line 75):
A new scancode is being defined: 0x7D, OEM_5
Error 2020 (...\tmpjpn1337.txt, line 79):
VK_OEM_102 (e2) found at scancode 73 and 56.

This also happens when I attempt to export an unchanged Japanese keyboard layout.
Exporting layouts of other languages works fine.

If anyone knows a solution for this I'd be very grateful.

Thanks

    Hi,

I don't think that was me. Even tho the name and content match, I don't remember registering there. I also don't remove any formatting from my texts.

Anyways, by layout I referred to the layout of the default input mode (Romaji), not the writing systems. I'm unable to write umlauts, ß, and other diacritic letters with the Romaji input. Usually, this can be easily changed by customizing any language's input layout. I used MSKLC for this but sadly it leads to the error described before.

    Regards

    Hi

We see that you have asked for help at Windows 10 Forums>Windows 10 Customization>MSKLC Keyboard Layout Creator cannot export custom Japanese keyboard layouts, right?
    https://www.windowsphoneinfo.com/threads/msklc-keyboard-layout-creator-cannot-export-custom-japanese-keyboard-layouts.574198/

Also ,our Microsoft Community Moderator has given you some solutions to help solve the problem.
However , I notice that your problem is the changing of your keyboard layout.
Then , what about checking your input method?
This could be checked in the settings>time&language>language>Japanese options>keyboards Microsoft IME options>open advanced settings

Or we could right click on A or to check this setting.
