Missing Enterpriserww.msi

Hi guys,

Whenever I try to run Office 2007 programs (Excel, Word or PPT), I get a Windows Installer popup which asks for "an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'EnterpriserWW.msi'. Before the errors occurred, I was uninstalling Microsoft Visual Basic C++ 2010 and Visual Studio Just-in-time debugging, so I think that that might have accidentally removed a few important files and this is just the first of them.

I don't have the Office 2007 installation CD with me anymore. Is there a way that I can download the installation package or other required files?

Thank you.

Regards,

Terence

Hi all,

Just to update that this problem is resolved.

While shutting down, there was an automatic updating and I think some of the required packages were re-installed again. After that, I could open Excel, Word and Powerpoint again. I didn't know that Windows XP could do self-diagnostics and automatic troubleshooting...

Anyway, thanks everyone for your help!

Regards,

Terence

AFAIK Office Enterprise does not have a download link. Try contacting Microsoft support over the phone and see if they can provide you with a download link.

    Hi Girish,

    Thanks for your reply.

Unfortunately, the 'Detect and Repair ' feature brings up an identical dialog box that asks for 'officemuiset.msi'.

I don't have any installation disc with me. Is there no way to download any msi files directly from Microsoft?

    Thank you

    Regards,

    Terence

Try repairing Office 2007 installation and verify the results. Refer to the ‘Method 2: Run the Detect and Repair feature’ in the following article:

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/924611

Unfortunately if repair fails, then you would need the installation disc/media to correct the issue.
