AutoCorrect cc: capitalization

How to (sort of) make an exception for a cc: entry in the Capitalization rules in AutoCorrect. I have been frustrated for years that when at the end of a letter I type cc: for a copy to go to someone, AutoCorrect captitalizes the first C so I end up with Cc: I then press Ctrl-Z to unfix the fix.

I could type CC: instead and this will get by AutoCorrect. I cannot add an exception for cc or cc: because it is too short.

What I've done instead is make an AC entry that replaces cc. with cc: and made an exception to capitalization for cc. I'm not sure why it accepts the exception for cc. and not cc:, but it does.

The only other suggestion I've seen (apart from having something like cc. or ;cc AutoCorrected to cc:) is to press Ctrl+Z immediately after Word has changed cc: to Cc:

I do that, but find it annoying. Don't know if typing cc. is going to be less annoying!

That's a good workaround. I find that I can also use #cc in the same way, since I usually use the # character as the start of AC entries that aren't really "corrections" so much as "aliases".
