We have translated an English docx to Aribic. The text is now right to left, but how can we reverse format it so the front page is at the back of the book, to be read  and printed from rear to front?

Print to a PDF driver (if you do not have Acrobat, there are many free PDF converters on the internet, such as PDF Creator). In the Word Print dialogue, in the "Page range" area, (assuming you have a 47-page document) type: 47-1.

This way the PDF will be in reverse order and can be sent as is to a printer.

In Preferences in Word, I can also select reverse print layout, but this is not what I need.

    I need a digital document.

-Yes, and PDF IS a digital document.

The present book, about 233 pages is in first page at the front of the book.  I need it reverse formatted with page 233 at the front. I then save it to PDF format for the publisher/printer

-One does not "save" to PDF, one prints to PDF. My last suggestion WAS about producing

-a digital document to send to a print shop. The PDF format is the standard digital format

-that all print shops can use.

-You can print to PDF in reverse order just like you can print in reverse order to a regular

    -ink-printer.

The publisher will then print the book to be read from back to front.

-In fact, any publisher worth his salt will take your regular PDF and reverse it when they do

-the Pre-press. You may want to contact your publisher and make sure you need to do

    -this yourself.

What do you think?  Is it possible to save a reverse printed document to file and save in that form?

    • Yes, see above.

If I wanted a printed document, reverse layout would work, but it must be formatted in reverse so the document can be sent to the publisher that way.

I have thought about printing in reverse layout to an image writer and saving to a file but do not know how to do that.

    Any suggestions? Thanks

Can't you simply print in reverse order? Most print drivers have that option. Look in the Printer's options.
