Greetings, before we get Orchestator 2019 and migrate jobs from Opalis 4 , we would like to have some concepts about the migration, may I ask your help?

1) is it possible? (I have 1000+ jobs).

2) If possible, how to automate the migration to get less error rate .
2.1) For example , is it possible to upgrade Opalis 4 to Opalis 6 and then migrate to Orchestator 2012 > 2019.
2.2) Sample 2.1 seems not easy, is any better way ? Just like API / Program migration or config export/import?

3) If possible, how to automate the verification to get less regression test job (we have too big server farms behind and we might need to test few years if all working manual.

4) If 2 and/or 3 are possible, may i have some reference URL (such as program migration) or high level steps for further study?

Thanks a lot.

    Hi @August Tam ,

in short: No, that's not possible.

Long Version, because old men love to speak about old times :-) :

Opalis 4 was Opalis Robot. Opalis 5.x and 6.x were Opalis Integration Server.
It's not possible to upgrade from Opalis Robot to Opalis Integration Server directly. There was a Migration Tool provided by Opalis to migrate an export from Opalis Robot to Opalis Integration Server.
The Migration Assistant was available until version 6.0 of Opalis, available in the Setup Package (\Opalis Integration Server 6.0_6.0.0.4512.zip\MigrationAssistant).
I don't recommend to use this!, because the objects that are migrated to are so called "Legacy Objects", only available until Opalis 6.3., not supported in Orchestrator.

    Regards,
    Stefan
