I am using the Group Function in a Pivot Table. Basically I have Payroll Job Codes and I group like codes together and rename accordingly.
IE Job Codes 1, 3, 51, and 53 (Group 1) are similiar as are 2, 4, 52, and 54 (Group 2). New codes are added on a regular basis and I want to be able to add that code to the respective Group without having to Ungroup and regroup or by creating another layer by Grouping say Group 1 with the new code 61.

Hi,
Grouping will not auto update. You will have to create a spare column in your source data (which will return Groups, say Group 1, Group 2 etc) and then drag this spare column in the pivot table.
Can I edit the codes that are in the grouping so how, or do I just have to hit ungroup, and then reselect all the ones I had plus the new one.
