Mail merge issue

I am trying to do a mail merge and keep getting an error message, "Word cannot finish merging these documents or inserting the database". I've done hundreds of mail merges and never had this problem. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

    Is the issue specific with database from which you are performing a mail merge?

    Let us create a new test database in Excel and open Word and perform a mail merge and verify results.

    These problems are most likely caused by mismatched double quotation marks in a mail merge data source document.
