Building block save location

When I want to save a building block I have the choice of location, current doc or another doc, how do I determine the path of the 2nd document in the list?  Can I add other documents to this listing of save locations?

Also, how can I list/view the building blocks within a document?

Thank you,

Note that Building Blocks can only be saved to templates (*.dotx and *.dotm files). Available templates are the Normal template and any templates stored in the Document Building Blocks folder or the Startup folder for Word. You can add custom templates to these locations.

To see all currently available Building Blocks, use the Building Blocks Organizer (Insert tab | Quick Parts | Building Blocks Organizer). The dialog box will display entries from the templates mentioned above and also entries in the current file (if that file is a document template containing Building Blocks).

    Worked perfectly.

    Thank you.

My only criticism to MS is the Organizer would need to be sizable, and the preview is useless since the content is so small.  This requires one to constantly insert the building blocks just to be able to review them.  But at least I have access to them.

See http://gregmaxey.mvps.org/word_tip_pages/building_blocks_autotext.html for an add-in that provides a partial solution.

As far as the Organizer dialog box is concerned, note that you can post a suggestion for future versions of Word here: https://feedback.office.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scrx=1.
