Visio 2013 Error after Updates

Hello,

I just went through and installed the Office 2013 updates that came out today (Feb 13 / 2013).

Now one of my Visio files on my USB stick isn't working.  I try to open and I get the error "Visio internal error: #2135, Action #1283: Open File" and an OK button.  I can't get the file back even after copying it to my local HD, renaming it, opening it from Visio, etc.

Is there a program that checks the integrity of a Visio 2013 file?  This particular file is still in the old format, but I have no issues updating it to 2013 if there is a program that will upgrade files without opening them ... ?

Can I maybe send the file to someone to convert / fix?  I'm desperate. :(

Thanks,

Chris.

    Al,

I have recovered the file.  After the latest round of Office 2013 updates, a few of my .VSD files wouldn't open from my USB 3.0 stick.  Then I re-installed the USB 3.0 drivers and they are all accessible now!  Very odd.

Good blog post though - I'm going to follow this one.

    Thanks!

    Chris.

I apologize for being confused but is the file that will not open a v2013 file or earlier? If it is a v2013 file then perhaps tip #4 might help in performing p.d.

If it is earlier than v2013 then can it still be opened on the system that created it?
