microsoft mappoint data import wizard problem

Question

Hi Guys ,

one of my clients cannot use data import wizard on map point , when we  try to import excel data it says : there was a problem opening  ( file name)

the machine is windows 7  - 64 bit

i tried to fix the registry by importing some keys  , tried another the excel sheet , renamed it ,  save it as office 2003  ,

all with no luck

please HELP ,
