PowerPoint 2010 replace object question

This is a simple question that I hope won't sound too stupid, but I can't seem to find a reference to my issue anywhere.  I have a slide created where I have the perfect placement, size, and animation of an object...I'd like to copy that slide and then just replace the object with another object. I need to do this on 50 pages so I thought it would be faster than pasting a new object on each page and then using animation painter.  Is there a simple way to just "replace object" while retaining all the parameters of the original?  Thanks!

Depends what you mean and what the object is:

You might be able to use:

Change picture (Right click menu or Picture Tools > FORMAT tab) OR

Change Shape (Drawing tools >FORMAT > Edit Shape)

Thanks to both of you for your input. Yes, I forgot to mention that the object I wanted to replace is a picture.  I am going to try what you suggested and see if that works for me in this situation. Thanks again!

Do you want to copy the slide in the same presentation or to a different presentation?

You may re-use the slides if you want to copy from a different presentation.

As John mentioned, replacing objects depends on what type of object is inserted.

What type of object is inserted?
