I am using Access 2010 and have repeatedly attempted to create a parameter prompt for the query, such as [Enter Order Number:] in the criteria box for the OrderID field. IThe error messge is "You either have an error in your expression or you have attempted to use and undeclared parameter. " I have entered it exactly as the numerous samples I have looked at.

I never did find the option to view the SQL statement. Where did they hide that?

This is a desktop database. It has been 6 or 7 years since I have done in database programming and Access 2010 has changed things quite a bit. While looking for the option to view the SQL, I found a button under Design titled "Parameter". I clicked on it and wasn't sure what it wanted me to enter, but I put in my prompt and the data type, and gosh darnit, if didn't just work!
