How do I format Visio Task Panes?

I like to use the Pan & Zoom window. Normally it appears as a square in the lower right side of the screen and disappears after a few seconds of non-use. Now it is a page wide rectangle on the bottom or side of the screen and stays pinned.

How do I format not only that window, but the size and position window and the rest of the task panes to their original format?

Thanks!

There's no such thing as formatting for these windowa.

    Select Float Window.

When you've done that you will find a different option, Anchor Window.

Hi Paul, Thanks for your response.

I cannot drag the window, it stays locked into place and when I right click the only options are Float Window and Close. So the formatting of the pane itself is broken, but I can't figure out where those settings are.

Any help finding them would be very much appreciated.

When the Pan & Zoom window is floating it has a pin to control autohide. Drag the window into the middle of the screen, right-click its header, then select Anchor Window. Now you can see the pin to control Autohide.
