Error: 0xE4010646 Syncing One Note )2010)

I have been syncing many computers all running One Note 2010 to three notebooks on Skydrive.  This has been working flawlessly.

I just purchased a new laptop and tried to add these three notebooks to one note by first opening them from Skydrive into One Note and then directly from One Note using the new "open from Web" feature.

Two of these notebooks are less than 50M and the third one is 150M.

The two smaller notebooks sync fine. The larger notebook gives the following error:

An error occurred while attempting to sync this section or notebook. (Error code: 0xE4010646)

When I try to view the notebook that has the error it is missing sections that just say "Loading".

I have tried opening and closing the note book that gets the error many times.  It is still syncing fine on all the other laptops.

I do have the latest updates. I resolved the problem as follows:

I found the section that was not updating correctly.  I copied this entire section into a new notebook.

This new notebook failed to update, however the prior notebook that i removed the section from updated.

I then took this new notebook and broke up the single section that had hundreds of pages into 6 new sections each with fewer pages.  This new notebook stilled failed to update.  I then copied these 6 new sections back to the original notebook one at a time in an attempt to figure out which section was causing the update problem.  All of them were able to be copied and did not create an update problem.

Thus my original notebook has everything back in place and is working.  The only difference is I have 6 sections in one area with few pages each rather than one section with a lot of pages.

I can't explain why this process resolved the problem but it did.

Thank you for your help.

FYI: I maintained a copy of the original section that caused the update problems in case it would be useful for debugging.

    I am still getting the following error:

    An error occurred while attempting to sync this section or notebook. (Error code: 0xE4010646)

    I tried installing Onenote an an entirely different computer and I get the same results.

    Some of the sections sync and some don't.

    All my existing computers that are syncing to the Notebook in questions continue to sync fine.

    Can you please look into this?

    Thank you for the link.  I had already visited this link before posting my error problem.  The solution in the link does not work.  Also note that my error started AFTER this fix was put in place.

    Any other ideas?
