Hi,
I'm using Access 2007 with Windows XP Professional. Every time I do either a Copy (Ctl C) or Cut (Ctl X) inside my database all of the combo boxes on my forms (not just the ones currently displayed) stop displaying their lists when clicked. So every time I run into this, which is quite often, I have to exit Access and re-enter.
Does anyone know what's going on and how to fix it?
Thank you,
Michael

In fields other than the combo boxes - any field - even ones which have nothing to do with any combo boxes. It's simply the act of Copying or Cutting which immediately causes this issue with all combo boxes.
Are you cutting/pasting in the combo or fields other than the combos?
This is a global issue: No matter what I Copy / Cut, every combo box in my database, whether currently loaded or not, will not display its list when clicked. The combo box still works though - if I click one, its list won't come up, but if I type in a value like I would have if the list came up, it'll still work as if the list came up. This is obviously not acceptable.
I could Copy / Cut something that has nothing to do with any combo boxes and they're all affected - every time! I'm not doing anything out of the ordinary with my combo boxes.
It appears to be an issue only within Access. If I Copy / Cut in another program (even an Office program) and then go into my Access database, everything works fine.
I thought it was an issue with Access, but I don't know. Could there be another program loaded on my computer that's causing this issue? Am I the only one with this issue?
The only thing I'm doing which is unusual is that I'm using Remote Desktop Connection on my Mac to access my PC with the Access database on it. I'll have to test if this is an issue if I use the PC directly.
Any other thoughts?
Thanks.
What are you cutting and pasting? What is the relationship of field of combo and the field being cut/pasted?
Post the SQL of the query feeding the form? Post the source of the combo.
