I keep getting this error message. Some fields may have been skipped because there was an error getting information about them or because they didn't fit on the report.

It has to be something on my computer because I finished the report on a different one and it was fine. I'm running into the same problem again tonight. What's going on? I never use Access on this computer and am doing it now because I'm in a class learning it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Can you export this table to a new blank database and try again? Also make sure to Compact & Repair the database. If still a problem, upload this db somewhere we can get to it, for example in your free SkyDrive account.

Yes, I meant Access 2010.  When I'm in the table of Access and click on "create a report"that's when I get the message. The message says: "There was an error creating your report. Some fields may have been skipped because there was an error getting information about them or they didn't fit on the report." Once I get this report, I have to modify it as in ascending order, etc.

I'm just stumpted over this one....

There is no "Access 2012", and from your OP I take it you mean Access 2010.

Yes, think about it. Of course Access reports take into consideration which printer you are going to be printing on. Say you created a report for Letter paper (8.5 inch wide) which is 8 inches wide, and your default printer has unprintable margins of 0.26 inch, then it would spill the report onto a second page. If that printer has narrower margins, it would use a single page.

This is in Access 2012 when I'm trying to create a report. Would the printer have anything to do with that? I'm not trying to print anything...

Speculating, I think you may not have any printer defined in Windows, or your default printer is a funny one and quite different from the one on the other computer.
