Data Table Disconnected from Chart

I have one spreadsheet where the data table is seamlessly bound to the chart. I have another spreadsheet where the data table is detached (separated) from the chart. Is there a way to control this behavior?

Does anyone have any ideas on how to control this graph behavior? I have the two charts in two different workbooks that behave differently.

    Thanks

here is a sample image from the two different spreadsheets. The top is from a workbook where the data table is disconnected from the chart and the chart has its own axis.

The bottom image shows a portion of a chart from a second workbook that has the data table connected to the graph portion of the chart.

How can I control which way the data table is displayed?

    Thanks,

Thankyou for your reply. Is it possible for me to send you an image? It would show one chart in one sheet that has the data table connected to the graph and a second chart where the data table is not connected. I do not understand why one worksheet displays the data table and graph differently. I would like to know how to control it so all my charts look the same.
