Cursor problems in Publisher.

When my cursor is in a text box, Publisher will not allow me to scroll away from the cursor position. I have to click outside the box before scrolling or zoom out and click elsewhere. How can I turn this off?

Currently using 2010 but it was the same in 2007, I assume I have enabled this by accident at some point as my partners version doesn't do it.

I had this same problem without a tablet (Still a problem in 2013!). Click the View tab / in the Show section uncheck Scratch Area! Sad this option is checked for default and worse you have to uncheck this with every new page added. Very bothersome!

Ah...good to hear that you sorted it out. Publisher has been known to not play well with others...

Thanks for the reply, I have a Wacom graphics tablet for photo editing.  It would appear Publisher had an issue with it.

Have uninstalled all Wacom software and now working fine...

    Cheers, had me beat :0)

I cannot reproduce your issue. Have you looked at your mouse settings or tried updating your mouse driver?
