Using Excel macros in embedded Excel files

In OneNote 2013, we can now embed Excel worksheets, but it appears security settings prohibit me from using macros in such embedded files. I have tweaked all the Excel macro settings, but without success. Does anyone know if this is at all possible?

Thnaks,

How do you insert the Excel worksheet? If you are inserting a blank sheet from Insert > New Excel... than that won't work because a macro enabled Excel sheet has to have xlsb extension. First create an Excel sheet with macro, then insert that.

My problem is solved, though I don't believe I did anything different than yesterday.

I had a macro-enabled spreadsheet with an .xlsm extension, in a SkyDrive folder. I inserted it into OneNote and everything just works.

Bernd: I did not need to add a trusted location.

Did you add a new Trusted Location (notebook folder) to your Excel in

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Excel\Security\Trusted Locations\
