Can I remove shape data en mass?

I have both 2007 and 2010 Pro available.

Similar to the post "properties that persist even after applying a data set" and Barb Way's help, I have a large number of shapes with various lists of shape data, of course entered by hand so a "remove existing data sets" when importing a new data set doesn't remove them. The point is I want to simply flush all shape data and start over with some new shape data sets.

There is no standard function to remove all of the custom properties in a shape, it has to be accomplished via code.

This tool is dramatically useful. I've only tried the deletion of shapes data from a selection of shapes en masse, and it works without fuss. There is a tangible gain in file size from the removal of superfluous data. This is well worth the $50.
