Have you changed the file location or the location of the hyperlinked document?

Open Excel in safe mode and check if it works fine:

Click on Start< All Programs< Accessories< Run< Type ‘Excel /safe’ (without quotes) and click on Ok

Note: There should be a space between 'excel' and '/'

If you are able to work with Excel without any problem then the issue might be due to add-ins. In order to disable the add-ins follow the steps given below:

Click on File< Options< Add-ins< Click on ‘GO’ beside Manage – COM Add-ins and uncheck the add-ins and click ok

Then try to open Excel and check if it works fine.

Also try to repair Excel workbook and check if it helps:

The hyperlinks have been created and still look active, when you hover over the link it shows the file path and say's click once to follow and click and hold to select cell. When you click the cell nothing happens.

These links all were working at one stage then one day they just decided to stop

I can recreate each link but i have so many in so many files now that are not working that i thought there must be something that has deactived these links within the entrire workbook without having to put the links in all over again on every workbook.

I have other some older files where the links still work within the workbook

What happens when you click on the hyperlinks?

Do you get any error message?

Are the hyperlinks created to connect to other file or to internet webpage?
