Having an issue when a user filters on content it changes it for all users within the same workbook in Excel Web Apps vs. only for them.

If the workbook is in edit mode it will change the filter for all users (since the we app autosaves your content periodically).

You can change the workbook to be in view mode (on the view tab select reading view) and then the filter will only apply to that users session.

Does anyone know if there are plans to add a feature/toggle option that would allow the users who are not applying the filter to not have their view impacts?   Maybe a workaround?

I have a simple spreadsheet to gather information from several people which is almost impossible to use in practice as intended (I.e. multiple people in the worksheet at once) because of this feature.

Try with a new file to check if its an issue with this file, it should retain filters only to users who change it.
