Copy Paste Special Issue - Unicode text only

Question

Whenever I copy a table from Excel 2007 into Word 2007, I lose all formating. The table turns into text.  In addition, copy paste now provides me with different choices.  I can ONLY paste special as unicode text or text.

You may try the below steps:

Once you copy Excel table -> Open Word click on the paste options on the ribbon- > select on ‘Keep original formatting’, to check if it helps.
