Hyperlink does not work in protected sheet

Hello to all,

I have a problem regarding hyperlinks which are not working in a protected sheet.  The cells with hyperlink are unlocked but they still don't work.

Is there a solution to this please?

Hi Raju,

Thank you ever so much for your reply but I managed to find the solution.  All I had to do was that on protecting the sheet I needed to tick the "Insert Hyperlink" option.

Nevermind...I figured it out (she said sheepishly).  I was linking to a cell within the same worksheet but didn't unlock the destination cell.  Once I unlocked it it worked fine.  Silly me.

I also am having this problem and tried the resolution that worked for Albert (selecting "Insert Hyperlink" in "Protect Sheet / Options") but it didn't work for me.  Need to resolve.  I have other hyperlinks in the spreadsheet that work fine.  The hyperlink that doesn't work was added after the other links.

Hi Albert,

What happens when you click on the hyperlinks from the protected sheet?

Do you receive any error message or it simply does not work?

Does the issue occur with a specific Excel file?

Let us open this hyperlink in Excel on a different computer and verify results.
