For security reasons I want all my documents to be saved into my E: Drive.  When I create a document and click on save it goes into my documents in C: Drive.

At present I am having to transfer them to E: Drive and then delete them from C: Drive. Can someone please tell me how to get the documents saved directly to my E: Drive\Documents

Hi Billie,

Have you tried changing the default location for saving the Excel Files?

To do this, follow these steps and check if it helps:

Open Excel > Click on File > Options > Save > Default local file location > update the new location and check the results.

Reply with the results to assist you better.

Thank you.

If E: is a partition of a single drive, that gives no security over the default C: Libraries location

Even if you do nothing, in any doc when you select 'Save As' you can set another path

All Office Components have the option to set the default Save path, in their Options menu

You can also redirect the Libraries path, to another location, you would then not have to reset the path given in all your programs or office components
