Excel 2013 with Scanner - wrong input

Hi,

I have a scanner that works with Notepad and other programs where you can input text but does not work with Excel 2013.

When I scan the code it shows something wrong (converts some numbers into symbols) or it shows only part of the code.

Is there any setting I must change?

Hi,

Actually I solved the problem my self. I re-installed Windows. After that everything went normal.

I found an un-deletable virus.

    Hello Alin,

Are you using the scanner to scan the paper then then convert it to the editable

    text?

If yes, then it depends on the quality of text used on the paper and it also depends on the software of the scanner that creates the file of the editable text.

Hence, there is no setting for this in excel which we can change to use this feature

    better.

For further clarifications, reply and we would be happy to assist.

    Thank you.
