track changes changed to black !!

Using W0RD of my Office 2013 Pro Plus, I am marking my students’ assignments, using track changes.  All my insertions were in red – as I want them to be. Suddenly the insertions changed to black, and I cannot get Word to change the insertions back to be in red!! I do not know what happened.

I have been trying Advanced Options for the last 2 hours, but WORD refuses to change the color of my insertions and corrections!!

How can I return the default color for track changes to be in Red - and if possible to remain in red after I close the document, and reopen it later.

Thanks

Setting "All Markup" as the default for all documents should be easy: just change the setting and it stays that way.

There have been reports in the forum suggesting that this doesn't always work, though. If that happens, try the following: Make sure that only one document is open. Change to "All Markup," close the document and exit Word. Restart and verify that the option sticks.

If it still doesn't work, post back, as you may need a macro to force "All Markup."

    Thank you very much Stefan.

It worked straight away.   Any way of making "All Markup" the default setting for all my documents.

    Much appreciated

On the Review tab, make sure that "All Markup" is selected in the Display for Review drop down (as opposed to "Simple Markup" which is the new default in Word 2013).

If that doesn't help, which particular settings (especially for colors) are selected in the Advanced Track Changes Options dialog box?
