I keep getting an "Excel Help" pop-up when working on a spreadsheet - how can I disable this?

    Can you describe what this popup is? Can you use the snipping tool to capture an image and post that image here?

    Here it is. -I close it and it comes up again shortly afterwards...

    Not just in one particular spreadsheet, in everything Excel

    It's the same window you get when using the F1 shortcut key, so I wondered how to disable this?

    Hi,

    I assume you mean the window below. It could be something as simple as a stuck/sticky F1  key, try cleaning the keyboard.

    I've already tried cleaning the keyboard and it's not that.  The only thing I can think of is that it's started happening since I've attached a Seagate Backup drive.  Can't imagine that's the problem but will try disconnecting and see if problem still occurs.

    Hi,

    I've Googled around and a lot of the responses to this problem suggest it may be caused by a virus or Malware. Maybe you should scan your machine for both.
