Adding date exceptions into and Excel date range

Hi

Is there a way to add date exceptions to Excel

I have an existing procurement schedule that calculates dates a product needs to start being manufactured based on a date in one cell and a duration in another. Excel then calculates in units of 7 days when something needs to start being manufactured.

i.e.

Date product required by customer 21/03/14

Manufacture period 5 weeks

Start manufacture calculated by Excel to be 14/02/14

However when Excel does this calculation it doesn't take into account any statutory holiday like Xmas or bank holidays.

i.e.

Date product required by customer 29/01/14

Manufacture period 5 weeks

Start manufacture calculated by Excel to be 25/12/13

Ideally i like something that does this automatically like how MS Project / PowerProject / Primavera planning packages work, apply a calender off you go. is there a macro or a template? Can anyone help

Cheers
