McAfee Encrypted USB

Question

Hi, I am trying to open file folders saved in McAfee Encrypted USB thumb-drive using Surface RT .  Unfortunately Surface RT could not open the folder. The message being "This app can't run on your PC. To find apps for this PC, open the Windows Store". I have browse the Window Store and the closest app is McAfee Pledge which I have downloaded. But Surface RT still has problem opening the file folders in the encrypted USB.

I would be very thankful is someone out there could help. Joey

It has nothing to do with Word.  You are the one talking about Word.  The original post reads- Hi, I am trying to open file folders saved in McAfee Encrypted USB thumb-drive using Surface RT .  Unfortunately Surface RT could not open the folder. Did you read my response. What does this have to do with Microsoft Word?

I'm not sure what this has to do with Word. You should never, ever, not even once, open, print, edit or manipulate any document on a thumb drive from within Word. This includes saving to the thumb drive. Doing so leads to document corruption, documents that cannot be used on any device. I do not know that this rule applies to Surface RT.
