Hi,

I have an Excel 2013 sheet which I have password protected except for one cell in which I would like the user to insert an object.

But when I am testing it I get a message saying "Cannot insert object".

Can someone please help me understand how this can be resolved.

Appreciate your support in advance.

Regards,

Sachin

Insert Object is not a cell level property but a sheet level property. Hence, unlocking cell will not solve the problem.

When you protect your sheet, choose Edit Objects also. It will allow you to insert objects in the sheet (not only to that specific cell)

Hi , I faced a problem when check on edit objects and save the file . After unprotect the file , the edit objects will unchecked automatically.

I discover only happened in format xlsx instead of xls.

Any one can help about this ?

    Thanks.

I know this is an old thread but did you happen to figure this out?  I'm having the same problem.
