Try the following:

  1. In the Windows Search facilty type cmd.
  2. When the Command Prompt item appears, right click on it and then select ‘Run as administrator
  3. In the command box type the following:

Cscript "%ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Office\Office15\ospp.vbs" /inpkey:<enter your product key>

Note: Include the dashes in the product key 4. Open any Office 2013 application and try activating.

If that does not overcome the problem, then you might remove all traces of the Office installation by downloading the fixit from the following article:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2739501

saving it to your computer and then running it.

Then reinstall Office by logging into www.office.com/myaccount with your registered email address and click Install Office.
