Grid lines missing when opening a blank worksheet

I have Excel 2010.

In the past, I opened a new worksheet and the grid lines for all the sheets ( 3 have been set up ), had the grid lines.

Recently, every time that I open a new worksheet the sheets are without grid lines, I have to go to options - advance  and select grid line, but this works only for the sheet number where I am on, I can also do it with the  View tool bar that has this option .

In advance options there is no way ( i cannot find it), to tell Excel that for any new worksheet and all its sheets the grid line box is selected, therefore , no need to do it every time a new worksheet is open and for each sheet.

How can I tell excel that grid lines must be on for any worksheet that is created?

Thanks in advance

Moises

    Aravinda,

    Thanks for your reply.

I went to the XLStart folder in the C program, files (x86) root, however, the folder is empty, I also tried with the root program files but no XLSTART folder.

The XLSTART folder via C;\Users does not exist either, no AppData folder.

    Where can they be?

    Many thanks

    Moises

    Hi Moises,

I will help you to open Excel workbook with gridlines.

Close all instances of Excel application and then follow the below steps:

You may try clearing the files from Excel startup folders from these locations mentioned below and check if it helps:

    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14\XLStart

    C:\Users\User Name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Excel\XLSTART

Note: Ensure to backup the files before deleting the files.

Let us know if the suggestion provided is helpful to you.

    Thank you.
