cell value invisible!

I would like have some on my worksheet to act as if invisible because I have them there only to help add up a whole bunch of the other formulas that I want visible. I already made the text the same color as the background, I already made the formula hidden when sheet locked. But if the formula has a value of lets say 1000... when you press CTRL + A (to select all the cells) you can see ALL the values of ALL the hidden formula.  I DON'T WANT THAT.

How can I make that those the values of the formulas in the cells that aren't suppose to show value DON"T SHOW NO MATTER WHAT.

The only way I would like that you could see the value of those formulas is if I set it to be visible, or if a conditional formatting made it visible..

How could I do this?

Thank you

    Sorry, I mistyped the number format.

    It should just have been 3 semi-colons: ;;;

    1. That also hides words

    2,3. Provided that you use the Number tab in the conditional formatting > .. > format dialog to set the number format to General (or something else appropriate) then the value will be revealed when the cell meets the condition

    Thank you for your response as it did work! But there is some downside to this. For example, I have some cells that are hidden, and then at a certain point conditional formatting kicks in and activates visibility to these cells. So I couldn't do that or else some of the =A1<>"" conditional formatting formulas wouldn't work because they would never get a value.

    Is there a way I can;

    1. use this with words. But still have the words as the cells value, just not see them.
    2. use this with formulas that a point in time will become active and conditional formatting will recognize their value.
    3. same things as 2 just with words.. I have some cells that have text and become visible with conditional formatting recognizing that some formulas have been activated by their values.

    Although I appreciate your other answer as it did work for the formulas that I only need for use for/with other formulas, and I didn't want visible at all.

    Would this be possible?

    Thank you!
