Is there a way to have text and a hyperlink in the same cell?

For example:  'Here is where I found the reference http:/answers.microsoft.com'

I'd like the hyperlink to be clickable.

    Hi,

Type any text you want in a cell. Select that cell and right click and click 'Hyperlink'

In the popup you can paste the web address of where you want to link to in the Address box

You can also use the hyperlink in excel

    =HYPERLINK("http://www.microsoft.com","abcde")

=hyperlink(link location, friendly name to be displyed)

    or for local location

    =HYPERLINK("c:\myfiles\sample excel.xlsx","My favorite Excel File")

I am using office 2007, and there after putting 'abc', if you right click and give a link in address, then text still remains 'abc' and converts it in to hyperlink.

May be as you are using office 365 Home, there may be different settings.

When you right click for putting address, on top of the pop up, there is a box "Text to Display". Put here 'abc'.

I type 'abc' into a cell.

I move to the cell below it.

I select the original cell (with abc) and right click, and click on Hyperlink.

    In 'address' I put 'www.microsoft.com'.

    Click ok.

My 'abc' text is completely replaced with the hyperlink.

I want the text abc to stay in the cell. Then have the hyperlink.
