Multiple Non-Adjacent Rows

Is it possible to highlight multiple non-adjacent rows with a shortcut key in MS Office for Mac 2011?

Or, must I highlight and delete each individual row?

Thank you for your assistance.

Select the first row of the group (by clicking the row number).

Hold down the Command key, and select each of the other rows of the group.

After all rows are selected, right-click or control-click, and click Delete from the popup menu.

Or, after all rows are selected, choose Edit from the main menu, and click Delete.

You can select by holding the Command key while clicking the Row numbers, then use the Edit> Delete command but there is no command or dialog to "select rows 7, 12, 15, 37, 43, etc.".

There may be a way to expedite the process but without descriptive details it's impossible to determine what to suggest.

    This is correct!

What specific feature in which version of Excel for Windows are you referring to? Perhaps I'm overlooking something or perhaps I misinterpreted...

You can use Edit> Go To [Control+G or F5] to specify several cell references separating one from the next with a comma(e.g.: A1,A5,A7,A12, etc.), then use the standard Delete command to delete those rows, but that isn't what I would call a 'shortcut key' approach.

Also, if the rows to be deleted share common data you can Filter the list then delete the rows containing the found records.

    Hello, Bob:

Thank you for taking the time to help with my question.  My apologies if my question was poorly structured to make it clear.  Nonetheless, I think you answered my question.  "..there is no command to select.." & delete multiple, non-adjacent rows "(7, 12, 15, 27, 43, etc)."   So, it's one of the shortcuts I'm going to miss from the PC world.  Your proposed solution does work for single non-adjacent row deletions though.  So, you have my gratitude for your time and reply!

    P
