onenote android 80630040

I am not able to start OneNote for Android.  I get a message "There's a problem. We can't complete this task. Try again. Error code: 80630040".  I have no problem logging into OneDrive, and I can open all notebooks from OneDrive.  If I remove all notebooks from OneDrive, and then start OneNote for Android, OneNote creates a notebook ('Ken's notebook'), and then it shows the above error, except with error code 80630056.  Subsequent attempts to restart OneNote for Android result in the 80630040 error code.

Also of note, I have no trouble using OneNote 2013 on my Windows 8.1 machine.  On that same machine, I can open the WinStore version of OneNote, and create notebooks.  However, the WinStore version cannot see or open notebooks on my OneDrive, even notebooks it created itself.

I cannot log into OneNote.com.  When I try, I get the message "Sorry, we can't get your notebooks right now. Please try again later."  These error messages tell us nothing about the nature of the error, so I do not even know what type of problem I am trying to address.

So what is the solution for this issue?? I have been searched a lot of times according to this specific error-code as well as 80630040, but it seems to be impossible to solve it...

I have the same issue. All my notebooks are stored in the cloud and I can log in with my son's email and see his notebooks no problem, but when I sign in with my account I get that error message. I re-installed and restarted many times didn't help either....

It's in the default 'Documents' folder.

Is your file stored in "My Documents" folder or different one? If it is in different folder what is the name of that folder (does the name contains any spaces in it)?

I would try to move the document into default "My Documents" folder or delete the spaces if the folder name is different or contains non English characters.
